BRIK64 commands should fail clearly when required files, markers, manifests or hashes are missing.

What To Report

Agents should report:
  • command run;
  • working directory;
  • files expected;
  • files found;
  • exact error text;
  • recovery command, if available;
  • evidence status after the failure.

Example Report

Command: host-agent skill install for AGENTS.md
Status: failed
Expected: managed-section markers
Found: conflicting manual section
Recovery: preview the managed section from brik64-tools-skills and review conflict
Evidence status: no managed section was written

Fail-Closed Behavior

If a command cannot verify a manifest, marker, hash or target file, the agent should stop and report the missing condition instead of inventing a result. When an error affects release status, include the exact artifact and command that failed.
